Victor Francis Gebhart, 73, of Carlton passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born April 8, 1933, in Hinckley, Minn., to Francis and Rose (Busse) Gebhart and graduated from Hinckley High School. Victor served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived in the Carlton area since 1973 and worked in the signal department for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Victor was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton; a life member of the Nicholson-Sellgren VFW Post 2962 of Carlton; and the Knights of Columbus in Hinckley. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing as hobbies.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Seline.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Larry (Trina Gamst) Gebhart of Barnum and Gregory Gebhart of Carlton; two daughters, Brenda (Robert) Vork of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Teresa Adkins of Carlton; one sister, Delores (Roy) Andermann of Mounds View, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Craig Vork, Matthew Vork, Christopher Vork, Melissa Gebhart, Julia Gebhart, Ryan Gebhart, Daniel Adkins Jr. and Trisha Gebhart; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Vork and Damon Gebhart-Martineau.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton, celebrated by Rev. Father David Tushar. Military Honors were presented by the Carlton VFW Honor Guard.
