Things stayed on track for the Barnum boys basketball team last week with another couple of wins. Friday the Bombers downed McGregor 82-64 and on Saturday it was a road victory over Pillager.

"We came out strong against McGregor and jumped to an early lead," mentioned Bomber coach Rich Newman. "We did fall asleep a bit on defense and Jake Root started hitting some shots for them."

Root led all scorers with 31 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the depth of the Bombers, who led at the half 47-37.

"In the second half our team defense came out strong," commented Newman. "On offense we showed patience and Kyle Grimm had a good game with 19 points and a strong game on defense."

Leading the bombers was Dylan Eggen with 25 points, Willie Carlson added 19 points, Josh Earlywine also had a big game for the Bombers with 17 points, and Seth Barker added a pair of points.
