Christal Solomon and Matt Stowell, both of New Hope, Minn., announce their engagement. The couple plans to be married Oct. 4, 2008, in Carlton.
Parents of the couple are Bill and Laurie Sparks of Wrenshall, Ray and Robin Solomon of Cloquet, Eva Port and Kevin Kersting of Cloquet, and Gary Stowell and Candi Juntti of Cloquet.
The bride-to-be earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University and is currently employed as an early childhood educator with Kinderberry Hill Child Development Center.
The future groom received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and is currently employed as a senior accountant with Minnesota Medical Foundation.
