The following are some of the Initial Complaint Reports the Carlton County Sheriff's Department received recently:

February 19

John Karl Nelson, 44, was cited at 2:18 p.m. at the intersection of Cary Road and Ditchbank for driving after revocation. His vehicle was towed.

February 20

A traffic stop at 12:52 a.m. at Highway 23 and County Road 18 resulted in the citation of Byron Arthur John, 23, for no proof of insurance and driving after suspension.

Leonard James Petite, 47, was arrested at 10:58 a.m. on a warrant.

Corey David Kellis, 20, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. on Kodiak Drive for interfering with a 911 call and disorderly conduct.

February 21

A complainant reported he hit a deer at 8:45 a.m. on County Road 1 and has over $4,000 worth of damage. He requested to speak to a deputy.

February 22

Black Bear Hotel security reported an hotel guest was screaming and yelling and individuals were running up and down the hallways. Mitchell James Ptacek, 24, was arrested on a LeSueur County misdemeanor. Kadie Jo Johnson, 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct. The parties were evicted and sent on their way.

At 5:44 a.m. a complainant reported a horse running loose around County roads 4 and 157. He then reported a male party got control of the horse. Deputies were unable to locate the owner so the horse was brought to a neighbor's.

At 9:14 a.m. a complainant reported her parents on County Road 6 had a threatening message left on their answering machine. Someone told them they were going to "blow up their house" because they have a strange last name. She was advised.

A one-car rollover was reported at 4:20 a.m. on County Road 3. The vehicle hit a power pole. MP&L was notified and the vehicle was towed. Anthony William Thelen, 22, was cited for driving after revocation, no insurance and no seat belt.

Nicholas David Ablan, 21, was cited at 9:07 p.m. on I-35 for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

A complainant reported five vehicles racing on I-35. Deputies stopped one vehicle and Denise Rae Diver, 20, was cited for window tint 4 percent and warned for speeding.

February 23

Carlton High School reported a boy tried to cash a $5 counterfeit bill at the lunch counter. The bill was confiscated and the boy's parents were notified.

A complainant on Highway 73 reported receiving a harassing/threatening phone call from neighbors.

At 2:18 p.m. an On-Star operator reported a man in a silver Suburban parked at Jay Cooke State Park needed an ambulance for his wife who was having a diabetic reaction. Carlton Ambulance responded.

February 24

A complainant reported vandalism in which his ice house on Chub Lake appeared to have been run into. one wall was knocked down. It was unknown if anything was missing.

At 9:37 p.m. a complainant reported someone threw a wrench through his driver's side window. The suspect(s) left in a 2003 white Dodge truck.
