Summer Kids' Carnival set for Aug. 11


Kid's Corner School Age Childcare will host a Summer Kids' Carnival Friday, Aug. 11, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Washington Elementary soccer field. You are invited to join the fun, with activities for everyone: cotton candy, games, face painting, prizes, refreshments, crafts, and much more. Admission is $5 per family. 'Feed My Sheep' food distribution is Aug. 12


"Feed My Sheep" food distribution will be Saturday, Aug. 12, at Moose Lake High School. Anyone who eats is welcome to participate; a $12 donation is requested. Bring large sturdy boxes or baskets, wheeler carts or wagons. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed at 6:30 a.m. to help unload trucks and at 8:30 a.m. to help in the distribution line and to help carry boxes to cars. MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers, meets monthly

MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers, meetings are held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet on the third Thursday of each month. Meetings are from 6:30-8 p.m. and child care is available. MOPS meetings are open to all moms who have children ages birth-kindergarten. There is a $35 annual membership fee due at the third meeting attended (visit two meetings before committing to join).
