Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for CITY OF THOMSON, CITY HALL work will be addressed and delivered to Ruth Jorgenson, City Clerk, City of Thomson, 20 Mira Avenue, Thomson, MN 55718.

BID DATE: October 16, 2007
BID TIME: 2:00 pm Local Time
All bids must be prepared on the form provided by the Architect and submitted in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders (Section 00500). Bids are to be addressed to City Clerk at the aforesaid address and are to be in a sealed opaque envelope conspicuously marked on the outside identifying the project name.
Plans, Specifications and Proposal forms as prepared by Architectural Resources, Inc., 126 East Superior Street, Duluth, Minnesota 55802, (218) 727-8481 are available at the Architect's Office upon a deposit of $100 which will be refunded only to contractors who submit bids and return same within ten working days of bid date. Plans and Specifications may be reviewed at the Offices of the Architect, the Owner, and at the McGraw-Hill Construction Plan Room in Mpls, MN, Builders Exchanges in Duluth, Mpls, St.Paul, Minnesota, REED Construction Data and Construction Bulletin in New Hope.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the owner, as provided in the specifications, said check and the amount thereof or the amount of the bidder's bond to be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder furnishing the same neglects or refuses to promptly carry out said bid or enter into contract with the City of Thomson.
No bids may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days from the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or parts of bids and to waive informalities therein, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if in their discretion the interests of the Owner will be best served thereby.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the site on Thursday , October 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson City Hall. Prospective bidders are encouraged, but not required, to attend this meeting. All decisions and interpretations reached at this meeting will be recorded by Addendum.
