A 39-year-old Saginaw man was killed Friday night when the motorcycle he was driving left the road and struck a house in Solway Township.
Brian Elfving was traveling west on Maple Grove Road when he lost control of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed into the side of the residence at 6194 Maple Grove Road.
He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. Although residents were home at the time of the incident, none were injured.
Authorities said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash. Minnesota State Patrol officers are assisting the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
