Robert "Bob" Peter Clark Jr., 56, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. Bob was born Sept. 12, 1950, in Cloquet to Robert and Mavis (Houck) Clark and graduated from Cromwell High School and also from Alexandria Area Technical School. He was united in marriage to Gloria Hughes on Aug. 28, 1970, in Sawyer and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob had owned and operated a concrete equipment manufacturing company prior to owning Shadow Creek Ranch where he raised registered Angus cattle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and camping out West. Bob especially loved entertaining his grandkids, who called him "Boppo."
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Camille (Chris) LeBrasseur of Sawyer and Stacy Clark of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; two sons, Peter Clark of Sawyer and Abraham (Heidi Hautajarvi) Clark of Cloquet; two grandchildren, Jayna and Gavin LeBrasseur; one sister, Gen (Rich) Bednarik of Niceville, Fla.; one brother, Sam Clark of Cromwell; his wife's parents, Robert and Genevieve Hughes of Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, conducted by the Rev. Father David Tushar. Music was provided by Cindy Crotteau as organist and Missy Parker as soloist.
