On Saturday, April 14, The Recreational Experiences Achieving Community Harmony (R.E.A.C.H.) program is looking to raise funds and provide a night of entertainment that will feature ventriloquist, humorist, guitarist and author David Malmberg, as well as local talent.

"It's a chance to host a really good family activity and show off some community talent," said Dawn Shoberg, director of R.E.A.C.H.

"David Malmberg is amazing and brings a wide range of different entertaining talents," Shoberg said. "We are so happy that he's signed on to this event."

Anyone in Carlton County with talent in singing, music or magic is encouraged to participate. Performers will be given five-minute slots during the evening.

"Many of the contestants who participated in the Cloquet Idol contest will appear at the Talent Show so it should be another great night of competition along with adults participating for the top prizes," she said.

The Talent Show will take place at Cloquet Middle School at 7 p.m. on April 14.

Tickets are $5 each for adults and $3 for students. Purchase tickets at Bearaboo Coffee Shop or at the door on the night of the event.

If you're interested in participating in the talent show, register by calling the R.E.A.C.H. office at 878-2089. There is a registration fee of $5.

The deadline to register is April 6; however, the first 20 performers who sign up will have the best chance to perform. Trophies will be handed out to the three best performances. Judges from the community will determine the winners.
