Property tax refund qualifications have changed in the past few years, making it possible for people who did not qualify in the past to now qualify.
According to Carlton County Assessor Kyle Holmes, only 40% of qualified homeowners have filed for a refund.
The average refund last year was $656.
It’s not too late. Homeowners who homestead their property can still file for 2019 and 2018.
