The new Cloquet Middle School grand opening and community tours will be held from 6-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 14. A dedication ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. with self-guided tours and light refreshments to follow. The public is encouraged to come and explore the new $40 million school, which they approved building in a 2015 bond referendum.
Superintendent Ken Scarbrough said staff members will be stationed around the building to answer questions during the tours, and Education Minnesota will be providing refreshments in the new lunch room.
“It’s a good time to celebrate the new school and recognize all the hard work that was done to get here,” Scarbrough said.
