A balanced scoring attack helped Esko take a 50-35 win over Floodwood in boys basketball on Friday night.
Only one player for Esko, Scott Lindquist, finished in double-figure scoring with 16 points. However, an excellent defensive effort, which allowed Floodwood just 16 first half points, helped to secure the win.
Nine different Eskomos scored in the game, showing their strength in depth, and they allowed the Polar Bears only 10 field goals for the game.
Esko made 18 shots from the field and then added a 13-for-23 effort from the free throw line.
Jake Olson had a solid effort with nine points for the Eskomos, Micah Tengesdahl finished with six, Kyle Hall, Kevin Rengo and Jamie Stokes all scored four points, Ryan Eskuri recorded three points and both Bryan Lindquist and Jeremy Syrjanen scored a pair of points.
