The Cloquet Police Department is seeking information about a stabbing that occurred in the city on Wednesday night.
Officers responded to Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet on a report of a patient with two stab wounds, to his abdomen and arm, at 6:30 p.m. The victim, a 37-year-old man, was in the 1800 block of Washington Avenue when the assault occurred, according to the police department. The man was later transported to St. Luke’s hospital in Duluth. Authorities did not release specific information on his condition, but said his wounds are not believed to be life threatening. Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other and the public’s safety is not at risk.
