Winter got ya down? Are you suffering from the midwinter blues? Well take heart - the "Blue Jean Ball" is just what the doctor ordered!
Everyone is invited to the Sixth Annual Night of Entertainment "Blue Jean Ball," set for Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Black Bear Golf Clubhouse.
The light-hearted annual event is a "fun"-raiser for the very worthwhile Cloquet Educational Foundation, which supports local projects and organizations from preschool through high school in the Cloquet School District with quarterly grant funding raised through events such as the Blue Jean Ball.
The social hour and silent auction are slated to kick off at 5 p.m. Talk about a winter getaway - Allegiant Air of Duluth has donated two round trip tickets to Las Vegas to the auction, and you could be the lucky bidder to be headed to the glitz and glamour of this exciting town! Among other silent auction items donated are a gift certificate for a movie party at Premiere Theatres for 25, a bowling party at Southgate Bowl for eight, a "Dutch Oven Camp" dinner party for six prepared by Cloquet's own Rob Nelson, and an overnight stay at the Edgewater Resort and Water Park in Duluth.
A not-to-be missed dinner will follow, compliments of Upper Lakes Foods, and the unique dessert showcases the artistry of The Exchange in Duluth.
