Stefany Petrosky of Almont, Mich., and Chris Beyer of Esko, Minn., were united in marriage July 28, 2007, in St. Albert the Great University Parish in Houghton, Mich., celebrated by the Rev. Father Larry Van Damme. Altar server was Dustin Larson, friend of the groom. The reception was held in the Superior Ballroom of the Franklin Square Inn in Houghton.

Parents of the couple are Diana and Joseph Petrosky of Almont and Jill and Barry Beyer of Esko.

The new bride chose Beth Lauzon, friend of the bride to be her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Weber, friend of the bride; Christina Skalko, friend of the couple; Crystal Buchanan, friend of the couple; and Sarah Beyer, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Tricia Denn, cousin of the bride.

The new groom chose Eric Jackson, friend of the groom, to be his best man. Groomsmen were Matt Beyer, brother of the groom; Jon Petrosky, brother of the bride; Rhen Hoehn, friend of the groom; and Samuel Sokolowski, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Cole Sivak, cousin of the groom.

The wedding day coordinator was Angela Schneider, friend of the bride.

During the couple's wedding trip to Rome, Italy, in September 2007, they were given a papal blessing by Pope Benedict XVI in a section reserved for newlyweds during a Mass at the Vatican.

The new bride is employed at Central Maine School District, while the groom is employed by Hercules Corporation located in Jay, Maine.
