Patricia Therese Schaefer (nee Orlowski), 34, of Duluth, Minn., passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, after a 20- month inspirational battle with breast cancer. Tricia was born March 17, 1973, to Jim and Jo Anne Orlowski of Carlton. She graduated from Carlton High School as valedictorian, and earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from the College of St. Scholastica in 1995. She married the love of her life in 1996 and they have two beautiful daughters. Tricia loved her girls, her husband, and her family. She loved to travel, try new and exotic recipes, and plan family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Steven and Josephine Polasky and Constantine and Stephania Orlowski of Duluth.
She is survived by her husband, Chris; daughters, Emily, 4, and Katie, 2; her parents, Jim and Joanne Orlowski; siblings Cathy Bryan (Michael) of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Mike Orlowski (Barb) of Carlton, Susie Paul (Dick) of Shoreview, Minn., Cyndie Kalsnes of Forest Lake, Minn., Stephanie Orlowski of Burnsville, Minn., Tim Orlowski (Kim Matteen Orlowski) of Carlton, and Lisa Brusseau (Shannon) of New Prague, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Michelle and Joe Bryan, Matthew and Heidie Kalsnes, Nathan and Bennett Brusseau, and Delila, Aleah and Thomas Orlowski.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Jarvi-Dowd Chapel, 925 East Fourth Street, Duluth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road, Duluth, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
