NON-PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND
It has been determined that a nonpublic sale of the following described tax-forfeited land would be appropriate, and the highest and best use of this land would be achieved by the sale of this land to adjoining property owners:
South two (2) acres of North Half South Three-quarters of Northwest Quarter Southeast Quarter (N 1/2 S 3/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4), except part commencing at Southwest corner of Northwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter (NW 1/4 of SE 1/4), thence North along West line Four hundred ninety-five (495) feet to beginning, thence continuing North Sixty-six (66) feet, thence East parallel to South line Six hundred sixty (660) feet, thence South parallel to East line Sixty-six (66) feet, thence West parallel to South line Six hundred sixty (660) feet to point of beginning, Section Eleven (11), Township Forty-nine (49), Range Seventeen (17), City of Cloquet (Parcel No. 06-510-2370)
Appraised Value: $500
This land will be offered for sale to the adjoining property owners in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 7a; all mineral rights are reserved for the State of Minnesota.
ADVERTISEMENT
Sealed bids will be opened at 3:00 p.m. on August 24, 2007, and will be considered at the Board meeting held on August 27, 2007, for the purchase of this property. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Auditor's Office at the County Courthouse in Carlton, Minnesota 55718, up to the time of the bids' opening. No bids will be considered for less than the appraised value.
If payment is not received from the successful bidder within forty-five (45) days of August 24, 2007, the next highest bidder will be awarded the sale of said parcel at bid offering. This offering is limited to adjoining landowners only.
