Nominations from county residents are now being sought for the 2013 Outstanding Senior Citizen Award for Carlton County. The award recognizes outstanding senior citizens who have contributed their time and talent to benefit their community after reaching the age of 65. They will be honored at the Carlton County Fairgrounds, in Barnum, on Friday, Aug. 16.
Official nomination forms are available by contacting Volunteer Services of Carlton County, Inc. The forms need to be filled out and returned to Volunteer Services of Carlton County, 1219 14th St., Ste. D, Cloquet, MN 55720 by Friday, July 26.
