Construction on new cable median barriers on Interstate 35 between Hinckley and Carlton is slated to start June 1.
According to a news release, installation of the barriers will be at intermittent points on the interstate, beginning south of state Highway 48 in Hinckley and continuing north.
Motorists should expect to see left lane closures when traveling on weekdays. Closures will include northbound lanes Monday through Thursday and southbound lanes Monday through Friday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation would like to remind the public to drive safely and obey posted speed limits.
The project is expected to be completed in late July.
