Nancy Carol Hill, 67, of Cloquet passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. She was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Cloquet to John and Kathryn (Arthur) Lee and graduated from Cloquet High School. Nancy was united in marriage to Michael Hill on Feb. 23, 1963, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a devoted lifelong member. She volunteered with the Guardian-ad-litem program; enjoyed going to T.O.P.S.; loved gardening, flowers, and birds; and especially going to Saturday morning breakfast with her special friends. Nancy worked for many years at Northwest Paper, Gordy's Hi Hat Restaurant and Alaspa Jewelry in Cloquet.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one niece, Stacy; and her good friend, Nancy Moore.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Michael (Dawn) Hill and Troy Hill, both of Cloquet; one daughter, Ann (Paul) Carlson of Victoria, Minn.; one brother, Richard (Dyhanne) Lee of Esko; six sisters, Judy (Chuck) Marshall of Torrance, Calif., Vivian (Clay) Goodman of Carson, Calif., Margie (George) McCausland of Cloquet, Evelyn (Randy) Anderson of Arthyde, Minn., Jackie Lee of Cloquet and Lori (Mark) Bergstedt of Esko; two grandchildren, Tyler Hill and Lily Carlson; one step-granddaughter, Breezy; 18 nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Katy and Karly Bergstedt and one special nephew, Christopher Koerth; and 21 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. The visitation will resume Thursday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 Fourth Street, Cloquet. Inurnment services will be at New Calvary Cemetery.
