Duluth teen arrested on second-degree murder charges

Officers found a 19-year-old woman unresponsive with injuries who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

DULUTH — A 14-year-old boy is in the Arrowhead Juvenile Center awaiting second-degree murder charges from the St. Louis County Attorney's Office after he is alleged to have killed a 19-year-old family member.

Officers responded to an assault call against an adult male around 6:42 p.m. in Duluth on Friday where officers determined, after speaking to the adult male, there wasn't an assault.

Later, officers responded to the same address on a medical call. A 19-year-old woman was found unresponsive with injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. After execution of a search warrant, a 14-year-old boy, who was related to the girl, was arrested, officials said.
