Has anyone told you "you should really write that down?" Or maybe you know someone whose memoirs of the area shouldn't be forgotten.

The Carlton County Historical Society is now offering a free workshop to try and promote the preservation of memories in writing.

The workshop will be held from 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays, April 10 to May 15, at the Carlton County Historical Society, 406 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet.

Join noted Duluth writer Christa Lawler for a free six-week class on memoir writing, perfect for beginners and experienced writers alike. Enjoy coffee and treats in the new research library and reminisce in a creative and comfortable atmosphere.

This class is just one of the many activities the Historical Society is offering this spring. Stop by during new hours (Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) to pick up the Historical Society newsletter that lists their upcoming programs.
