Master Gardeners plan 'Spring Fling' education day

The Carlton County Master Gardeners will present their first annual "Spring Fling." This all-day symposium will take place on Saturday, March 29, at the Cloquet Regional Extension Center, 179 University Rd., Cloquet.

The Carlton County Master Gardeners will present their first annual "Spring Fling." This all-day symposium will take place on Saturday, March 29, at the Cloquet Regional Extension Center, 179 University Rd., Cloquet.

Four classes will be offered featuring speakers Larry Webber on "Wild Flowers: Where, When & Why"; Tom Kasper on "Perennials - New Varieties"; Gil Ebner on "Growing Your Own Shitake Mushrooms"; and John Rosberg on "Bonsai."

Vendors will be on hand. The cost is $20 per person, which includes all classes, lunch and snacks.

Preregistration is required by March 20, as space is limited. Registration check-in starts at 8 a.m., with speakers starting at 8:30 a.m.
