Margaret Cecelia DuFault, 91, of Cloquet passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton. She was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Superior, Wis., to James and Mary (DuFault) Pratt. Margaret was very supportive of her husband, Peter, who pioneered and was integral in developing the Fond du Lac Reservation. She retired from the Fond du Lac ENP kitchen after several years of service and also as a cook for the Fond du Lac Ojibway School. Margaret loved dancing with her husband, traveling and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, in 1978; grandsons, Greg DuFault and Mike Lund; daughter-in-law, Pricilla Defoe; brothers, George, William, Clarence, James and Walter; and sisters, Anna Lemieux, Mary Pratt and Delia Pratt.

Margaret is survived by her children, Russ (June), Peggy (Bob) Lund, Shirley Defoe, Peter Defoe, Donald Defoe, all of Cloquet, and Carol (Richard A.) Hayward of Mashantucket, Conn.; grandchildren, Kurt (Michelle) of Ramsey, Minn., Boyd (Carrie) of Andover, Minn., Kent (Mary) of Middleburg, Fla., Guy (Lisa) of Andover, Danny (Rhea) Lund of Cloquet, Tammy (Todd) Dixon of Duluth, Janet Norton of Cloquet, Tony Lund of Cambridge, Minn., Alvin Lund of Cloquet, Brian Ostoff of Sioux Falls, S.D., Michelle DeBoldt of Cloquet, Stephanie (Brian) Hammitt of Cloquet, Jamie Depoe of Cloquet, and Kevin (Jody) Carlson of Hermantown, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Luke, Nicole, Alyssa, Taylor, Derrick, Lindsey, Kayla, Rebecca, Tamara, Briget, Krista, Sarah, Travis, Erica, Brooke, Alvin Jr., Jacob, Ty, Memphis, Siera, Matthew, Christopher, Jonathan, Annika, Jorden, Chase and Taylor; her brother, Frank Anding of Burnsville, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 22, from 5-8 p.m. in Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet, with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. The visitation continued Monday, July 23, from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet. Interment was in New Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.
