A Duluth man has been charged in Carlton County on suspicion of exposing himself to young boys in Barnum and Moose Lake. He also faces similar charges in Hibbing and has been previously convicted of indecent exposure in Duluth.

In the Carlton County case, Nicholas John Reising, 37, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct in the fifth degree and two counts of indecent exposure.

On April 20, the Carlton County Sheriff's Office received a report of a man trying to expose himself to juvenile boys near Barnum Elementary School. Hours later, Moose Lake police received a report of a man who asked two juvenile boys to approach his car, then exposed his genitals to them.

At that time, however, officers did not have much specific information to work with in order to make an arrest, according to Carlton County Sheriff's Office Lt. Rick Lake.

On June 10, however, Lake talked with investigators from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office after learning they had received similar complaints of a man exposing himself in Mountain Iron, Hibbing and Chisholm. Comparing notes led authorities to Reising.
