Lucille Augusta Nordman

Lucille Augusta (Zechoski) Nordman, 69, of Carlton and formerly of Wright, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007. She was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Cloquet to John and Bernice (Billiter) Zechoski. Lucille will always be remembered as the best head majorette of the Cloquet Marching Band. She taught baton for many years to Cloquet area youth as well as knitting classes in Cloquet for several years. She was the owner of Lu's Knit Shop. Lucille loved her lake home at Prairie Lake and enjoyed ceramics and other craft projects.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul Nordman.

She is survived by one son, Scott (Kay Zeadow) Nordman of Wright; two daughters, Debra Rubbelke of Oakdale, Minn., and Kim (Steve Truax) Joriman of Lino Lakes, Minn.; two grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Joriman; one great-granddaughter, Brooke Joriman; one sister, Florence (Steve "Cubby") Romanek of Cloquet; her Goddaughter and niece, Renata Crowley of Sturgeon Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 30, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. A luncheon followed in the fellowship room.
