Louise Ann Blinn, 85, of Cloquet, Minn., entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007. Louise was born in 1922 in Cloquet, Minn., to her parents, Ethel and John Oscar Johnson. She was raised in Cloquet and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1940. Louise worked for Diamond Match and Northwest Paper Company before her marriage to Lester V. Blinn in 1948. She was a homemaker and devoted mother to her three children, Anne, David and Mary. Louise was a person of deep and personal faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved to entertain and show hospitality to friends and strangers alike.
Louise was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband, Les.
She is survived by her three children, Anne (Gary) Wise and David (Carey) Blinn of Cloquet, and Mary Blinn of Butte, Mont.; her nine grandchildren, Ben (Nikki) Kratzner, Ariel (Niklaus) Häefliger, Kristin Kratzner, Erik Kratzner, Elizabeth Blinn, Olivia Blinn, Isaac Blinn, Michael Hockenberry and John Hockenberry; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Kratzner and Logan Kratzner; two sisters, Lois Gronquist and Betty (Myron) Evenson; and two brothers, Howard (Linda) Johnson and Darell (Diane) Johnson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of the Special Care Unit at Mercy Care Center in Moose Lake.
A gathering of family and friends was held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life on Saturday, Dec. 15, in Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
