Senior Day in Cloquet set for Wednesday

CLOQUET — Senior Day in Cloquet returns to Veterans Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 15.

The event held on World Elder Abuse Prevention Day will offer information on elder abuse, including what to do if people see it and how to prevent it, said Starr Marshall, event organizer.

It also features food trucks, craft vendors and a prize drawing for people age 60 and older. Entertainment will be provided by WKLK-FM 96.5. People are invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon, Marshall said.

Live speakers will address topics such as cyber security, home health care and hospice, and care for those with Alzheimer's Disease or memory care needs.

People of all ages are invited to attend. Free refreshments and prizes will be available while supplies last. All proceeds support Cloquet AEOA.

The event is sponsored by Reliable Insurance Agency and Northwoods Credit Union.
