CLOQUET — Local attorney and media figure Pete Radosevich is running for the Minnesota House of Representatives seat covering Carlton County and surrounding areas.

Radosevich said he will seek the DFL endorsement for District 11A, which includes all of Carlton and portions of St. Louis and Pine counties. Incumbent Rep. Mike Sundin, DFL-Esko, is stepping down after a decade of service.

“I'm running for House District 11A because Carlton County is my home and I care about the issues unique to our community," Radosevich said in a statement Wednesday. "While other candidates are mimicking the national issues, I feel we need a representative in St. Paul who is looking out for the issues that affect us, locally.”

Radosevich, 58, has practiced law in Carlton County since 1999; has hosted the public access television political talk show "Harry's Gang" for more than 20 years; and serves as publisher of Cloquet's Pine Knot News.

Radosevich said he already has the endorsements of Sundin and former TV news anchor and political candidate Michelle Lee. He said he will seek further support from labor and trade unions, law enforcement, business groups and service organizations.

“I believe in appropriate taxation and responsible spending," he said. "I believe the government exists to solve our collective problems. And I believe the Legislature needs a DFL'er like myself who has both passion and experience."

Jeff Dotseth

Republican Jeff Dotseth, who unsuccessfully challenged Sundin in 2018 and 2020, launched his third bid for the seat last August. Dotseth, a real estate business owner from Kettle River, received his party's endorsement last week, he said in a Facebook post.
