CLOQUET — A 26-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV at 11:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29.
The crash occurred at the corner of Carlton Avenue and 22nd Street, according to a news release from the Cloquet Police Department.
Officers provided medical aid to the motorcyclist, Hunter D. Thorman, at the scene. He was transported to Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, where he later died.
The 19-year-old man driving the SUV, along with three passengers, stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, the news release said.
According to the release, impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing. The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting in the investigation.

Cloquet Police Chief Derek Randall told the Pine Journal on Thursday he would not yet release the name of the SUV driver because the State Patrol is reconstructing the crash to determine the cause.
