Lindquist hits miracle shot in Esko's 68-66 win

The two teams played to a first half 35-35 deadlock and they were still even at 60-60 at the end of regulation before Lindquist's heroics finally gave the Eskomos the victory.

The Mercs made 26 shots from the field, but Esko made two more free throws in the game despite getting two less opportunities from the charity stripe.

Jake Olson added 15 points to the Eskomo cause, Kyle Hall added 12, Jeremy Syrjanen scored 10 points, Kevin Rengo chipped in with six and Micah Tengesdahl recorded four points.

Jake Root led three Mercs in double figure scoring with 23 points.

  • On Thursday night the Eskomos were beaten by Duluth Central 72-48. The Trojans got an 18-point effort from Rob Correia and 17 from Trevor Taylor in the win.

The Eskomos trailed 32-22 at halftime and had trouble slowing down the quick Trojans, who feature one of the area's quickest players in Noah Pauley. Pauley added 12 points to the Trojan cause.
Scott Lindquist and Bryan Lindquist led the Eskomos with 14 and 11 points, respectively, both Tengesdahl and Olson had seven points, Syrjanen finished with five points, and both Rengo and Hall added a pair of points.
