To the Editor:

It was interesting to read a scolding about freedoms, rights, free things, etc.

Under our Constitution we are guaranteed certain rights (not free things). One right is the right to life. Nowhere does it say that a person must be of a certain age. No one can argue with the fact that nine months after conception a person is born. It used to be if a baby made it through the birth canal it was home free, but with partial birth abortion, it ain't so.

What does divorce have to do with gay marriage? Divorce is a human failing and it doesn't change marriage being between a man and a woman.

The 2nd Amendment of the Constitution guarantees my right to keep and bar arms. Period.

As far as "free" stuff, who has been in control of both Houses of Congress since 2006? Wasn't it Nancy Pelosi, who said the Democrats would fix the gas prices? They sure did.

Drill here, drill now, pay less.
