To the Editor:

I'm writing this letter to all of those who have attended, or are planning to attend, the annual Christmas concert I put on every year.

Over the years, I've been told the concert has become a Christmas tradition for many. I'm sorry I have to tell you, as much as I want to do a concert this year, I just can't.

I believe doing a concert this year would be too much of an emotional roller coaster for me, and that wouldn't be fair to all of you that attend.

Many of you know, and some of you may not, my mom passed away two months ago. My mom was my biggest "fan" and she always enjoyed listening to me play and sing.

I have discussed my decision with my family and close friends and they all agree. So, I'm sorry that I won't be a part of your Christmas season this year. But, I am planning on doing a Christmas concert next year...as well as rolling out a new Christmas CD. I hope to see you there.

In the spirit of Christmas and the joy of giving, I would encourage you to participate somehow in providing an area needy child with a gift to open on Christmas morning. I know you'll be glad you did.

It's my hope you'll all have a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year.

Sincerely,

Tom Cawcutt, Sr.
