Letter to Editor: Come election time, our rights could be restricted or taken away

To the Editor:

I am saddened to be from Minnesota. A poll says we have Obama leading McCain by over 10 points. Here is a man I wouldn't want to know, let alone have him as my President.

Obama is one of the most liberal senators among Schumer, Lautenberg, Pelosie, etc. Look at the record of this gang. They try to restrict our Second Amendment rights or take them away. If they had the Supreme Court on their side they would [be] looking to take away our right to protect our lives.

Speaking of lives, abortion would be easier, young girls wouldn't have to worry about notifying their parents, [and] taxpayers would have to pay for anyone wanting an abortion. Marriage would be whatever they wanted it to be.

How would you like the U.N. knocking on your door looking for "outlawed" guns?

The Supreme Court just made some huge decisions. Some by a 5-4 vote and that is how close your Second Amendment rights came.

Think of a president, congress and high court having control of our rights.
