Lempi Helen Klinga, 81, of Cloquet, Minn., died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, in Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born June 16, 1927, in Menahga, Minn., to Finnish immigrants Alex and Emma Koski. She grew up in Wolf Lake. Lempi was a homemaker who loved the holidays and enjoyed the changing seasons. She liked to cook and toil in the garden. Lempi always put her children's interests above her own. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Shelley and Dudley, and special granddaughter, Mikhayla.

Lempi was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1990; a son, Bradley; a daughter, Sharon Majors; brothers, Hugo, George, Jacob,and Eino Koski; and sisters, Tyyne Mattson and Senia Anderson.

She is survived by her children, Wesley (Joyce) Myllykangas of Jacksonville, Fla., Stanley (Lois) Myllykangas of Wolf Lake, Adley (Debbie) Myllykangas of Frazee, Clarice (Jim) Zick of Detroit Lakes, and twin sons, Shelley Klinga of Cloquet and Dudley Klinga of Askov; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ellen Nieminen of New York Mills and Ina Zietek of Waterford, Mich.

Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 17, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service in Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
