People are invited to attend the “Living Green: Incorporating Waste Reduction into our Everyday Lives” class from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Carlton County Transportation Building, 1630 County Road 61, Carlton. Presenter Josie Flatgard, MN Green Corps member, will offer ways to lesson your carbon footprint by making simple changes. Learn how to swap an everyday item or activity for a waste reduction alternative that’s economical and environmental. Learn what going zero waste means, and how to make it work for you. Participants will leave with door prizes and a set of reusable fabric softener sheets they will make during the class.

Cost for the University of Minnesota Extension Community Connect class is $5 at the door or free for anyone 18 and younger.
