Lady Eskomos cruise to two more wins

Esko steam rolled to victories over Virginia and McGregor last week and in the process they nearly scored 100 points in one of their contests.

Thursday night the Eskomos pumped in 49 points in both the first half and the second half on their way to a 98-47 trouncing of McGregor as 12 different Esko players found themselves get in the scoring column. Leading Esko in double-figure scoring were Amber Ryan with 20, Jamie Rust scored 18, Jade Baxley added 14 and Sami Mattson finished with 11 points.

Esko led at the half 49-25 and then outscored the Mercs 49-22 in the second half as well.

Also scoring for Esko were Amber Jubie with eight, Ashley Langila scored six, Kaycee Knutson added five, Kayla Jenkins, Ashley Ojala and Kelli Rengo each had four points, and Tia Salo and Jenna Coughlin each had a pair of points.

Sam Honstrom finished with 16 points and Lacey Sprague had 12 in leading the Mercs.

  • Friday night the Eskomos sprinted out to a 40-10 halftime lead and cruised to a 74-28 win over Virginia with Amber Ryan's 15-point effort leading the offensive attack.

It was another night of a ton of players getting in floor time and another night of double-figure players scoring for Esko. Ten Eskomos got on the score sheet.
Also scoring were Roz Chromy with 11 and Kaycee Knutson with 10 points, nine points for Sami Mattson, Ashley Langila added eight, Kayla Jenkins scored seven, Jade Baxley recorded six, Jenna Coughlin finished with four and Kelli Rengo and Tia Salo both added two points.
