The University of Minnesota Extension, in cooperation with local 4-H programs, will present "Grub, Guts, and Garbage: The Journey of Our Food," a fifth- through eighth-grade Day Camp Experience.
If you've ever tried to find a way to keep your "tween" busy in the summer, you know how exciting this Day Camp opportunity is. Students will trace the journey of their food from warm soil to their kitchen table with learning activities, recreation, projects, and more!
Day Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. to allow working parents to drop-off and pick-up hassle-free! The low registration fee even includes a lunch and two snacks. Pay just $15 for one or $25 for two students in the same family ($12.50 for each additional). Locally, a Day Camp will be held July 15 in Willow River at the Public School home economics room.
