Jay Cooke State Park will host the following naturalist programs (all programs meet at the River Inn Visitor Center unless otherwise noted):
Friday, Aug. 3, 8-9 p.m. "Voices of the Park" - Climb aboard on this trip through the past and discover how the park got its start and who roamed this land long before us. Learn where to find traces of park history and other interesting things to do at Jay Cooke State Park.
Saturday, Aug. 4, 1-2 p.m. "Stories in Stone" - Jay Cooke State Park has been shaped by many natural events over time. Discover the stories left behind in the stone on this geology walk.
Saturday, Aug. 4, 4-5 p.m. "Junior Naturalist: Exploring River Life" - Discover the life of the river during this children's program. Discuss the amazing adaptations of beavers, otters, insects and other river creatures. Take home a fish printing craft that you make during the program.
Saturday, Aug. 4, 8-9 p.m. "Owls: The Mighty Mouse Hunters" - Discover these silent hunters of the night and learn how nature built a better mouse trap in the form of an owl.
