Jay Cooke State Park will host the following naturalist programs (all programs meet at the River Inn Visitor Center unless otherwise noted):

Friday, July 20, from 8-9 p.m., "Eagles: Rulers of the Sky" - Come learn about the majestic eagle and learn why this bird soars above the rest.

Saturday, July 21, from 1-2 p.m., "Stories in Stone" - Jay Cooke State Park has been shaped by many natural events over time. Discover the stories left behind in the stone on this geology walk.

Saturday, July 21, from 4-5 p.m., "Junior Naturalist: Amazing Ants" - Learn some amazing ant tidbits and explore the park's giant ant hills during this children's program. Learn who does what job in an ant colony and how ants must work together to survive.

Saturday, July 21, from 8-9 p.m., "Campfire Program: The Bears Around Us" - The most asked about creature in the park is one that is rarely seen. Come discover the world of the black bear and how to make living with these incredible animals "bearable." Meet at the River Inn amphitheater. In case of rain or bugs, the program will be held inside the picnic shelter.
