Kami Diver's 24-point performance helped send the Cloquet Lumberjacks to a 61-49 win over Duluth Central in girls basketball on Tuesday night.
The Lumberjacks managed a 32-21 halftime lead and then played even with the Trojans throughout the second half to pull away for the win.
Brianna Henagin also had a big night offensively for the Jacks with 19 points and Jes Vork was right behind with 14 points for Cloquet. Both Rebecca Rowenhorst and Hannah Roy had two points for the Jacks.
Key to the Cloquet win was the ability of Diver and Henagin to hit the three-point shot. Diver finished with six long-range bombs and Henagin added three from beyond the arc while Jes Vork chipped in with one three-pointer.
Lea'ola Fields led the Trojans in scoring with 20 points and was the only Central player in double figure scoring.

Not only did Diver deliver from the offensive standpoint, but she also hauled in 10 rebounds in the game.
The game saw very few free throws with the Trojans attempting just two for the entire game and the Jacks attempting eight. Cloquet outscored the Trojans 5-0 at the charity stripe.
- Friday night saw Cloquet play in one of the wildest and craziest basketball games of the young season against Ashland. Both teams came out and scored almost at will as the Jacks raced to a 37-32 halftime edge before falling to the Oredockers 70-62.
"It was a crazy first half with both teams dead hot," commented Cloquet coach Brad Vieths. "The defenses were tough, but both teams were just taking quality shots."
The first half more resembled a ping-pong match with the ball going up and down the floor at race horse speed.
"Any time you have 69 combined points in a half, it is a good game," explained Vieths. "In the second half, they kept on lighting it up and we just went cold for a spurt."
Kami Diver led the Jacks with 20 points, Jes Vork finished with 16, Hannah Roy added 10 and Tiffany LaCroix chipped in with nine points to lead the Jacks.
"We played limited players in the game and in hindsight that probably hurt our cause," recalled Vieths. "We were also missing three players due to injuries and illness which didn't help."
On the boards Rebecca Rowenhorst had 11 rebounds, while both Roy and Diver had eight each. Vork and Roy contributed five assists each.
