The Cloquet Lumberjacks got another finely pitched game from Reid Ellingson on Thursday at Ed Mettner Field in Cloquet. Ellingson notched his second win in as many tries and the Jacks downed Greenway 11-1 in five innings.
Ellingson, a senior lefthander, gave up just three hits and one earned run in his complete game victory.
The Jacks were strong on offense with Adam Boleman, Thomas Rogers and Austin Hatch each pounding out a pair of hits. Boleman, a junior shortstop, was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Rogers, a freshman, added a 2-for-4 effort with a pair of RBIs and Hatch, a junior catcher, was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.
