CITY OF CLOQUET, MINNESOTA

15TH STREET AND

INDUSTRY AVENUE UTILITY RECONSTRUCTION

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., May 10, 2007, by the City Administrator of Cloquet, Minnesota, for the construction of City Projects Nos. 984 and 990, Net Length 0.3 miles, located within the City of Cloquet.

This project involves the reconstruction of existing sanitary sewer and water utilities on 15th Street from Cloquet Avenue to avenue B and also Industry Avenue from 10th Street, east to the West Sappi Mill Entrance.

The major quantities of work to be included in this project are approximately 1,500 feet of water main construction, 2,300 feet of sanitary sewer main construction, 82 feet of manhole construction, 13 water and sewer services, 1,300 yards of Class 5 and 900 tons of bituminous pavement.

Proposals, plans and specifications may be secured at the office of the Director of Public Works, (218) 879-6758; 1307 Cloquet Avenue; Cloquet, MN 55720 upon payment of $15 per set, which will not be refunded.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Cloquet for 5% of the bid amount. All bids must be filed with the City administrator, 1307 Cloquet Avenue; Cloquet, MN 55720 before 2:00 p.m., May 10, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds.

The City reserves the absolute right to reject any or all bids without reason or cause. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed thirty days, from the date of opening, for the purpose of reviewing prior to awarding a contract.
