The Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game will take place June 28 in St. Cloud. This will mark the 35th annual game which features the Metro All-Stars versus the Outstate All-Stars.

The All-Star football game showcases outstanding senior players from the 2007 high school football season. The 87 players and 12 coaches who will participate in this year's game represent 74 high schools and 33 conferences, according to a news release from Dave Fritze, game director.

Players and coaches will report to an All-Star training camp at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., on Sunday, June 22. Training camp will run June 22-28.

Only one Carlton County area player will be featured on the Outstate roster - Cody Hendrickson, who played quarterback and defensive back for Jeff Gronner at Cromwell High School.

Duluth Central lineman Garth Heikkinen and Cook County running back Tait Sande will both play for the Outstate team as well.

Last year Jon Hoese of Glencoe-Silver Lake tied an All-Star game record by scoring three touchdowns, leading the Outstate All-Stars to a 27-14 victory over the Metro All-Stars.
