Andrea Joy Hammond of Cloquet and Michael Thomas Porta of Cambridge, Minn., were united in marriage Oct. 14, 2006, at New Life Community Church in Carlton. The Rev. Thomas Porta, father of the groom, performed the ceremony.
Teresa Staffon of Omaha, Neb., friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Heather Hammond of Duluth, sister of the bride; Mary Porta of Cambridge, sister of the groom; Leah Hammond of Cloquet, sister of the bride; Esther Porta of Cambridge, sister of the groom; and Deborah Hammond of Cloquet, sister of the bride.
Flower girls were Rachel Hammond of Cloquet, sister of the bride; and Marsha Porta of Cambridge, sister of the groom.
Philip Porta of Cambridge, brother of the groom, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Ryan Hammond of Cloquet, brother of the bride; Curtis Larsen of Howard Lake, Minn., friend of the groom; Seth Taylor of Superior, Wis., friend of the couple; David Carlton of Emily, Minn., friend of the groom; and David Brymer of Kansas City, Mo., friend of the groom.
The ring bearer was Nathan Hammond of Cloquet, brother of the bride.
The new bride is a 2004 graduate of Cloquet High School and a 2005 graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. She is employed at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis, Minn.
The new groom is a 2001 graduate of Cambridge/Isanti High School and a 2006 graduate of Bethel University where he majored in mathematics and economics. He is employed at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis.
Parents of the couple are Daniel and Denise Hammond of Cloquet and Thomas and Cynthia Porta of Cambridge.
Following a honeymoon trip to Pokano Mountains in Pennsylvania, the couple is at home in Cambridge.
