Grace Wickstrom Bergeron, 93, of Cloquet, Minn., died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake, Minn. She was born in 1914, the daughter of Norman and Bertha Ward. Grace was a 1933 graduate of Pine City High School. She had been employed by Diamond Match in Cloquet for 30 years. Grace was a charter and life member of Eagles Aerie Lodge #1163 in Cloquet, was a charter member of Big Lake Golf Club and a life member of AFL-CIO Local 0970. She was an excellent cook and baker, enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, reading, flower and raspberry gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Wickstrom; her second husband, Leonard Bergeron; a grandson, Victor Hugdahl; six brothers, Roy, Gene, Clyde, Herbert, Forest and Arlen; and three sisters, Gladys and twin sisters, Viva and Violet.

Grace is survived and will be missed by her children, Joan (Martin) Coyer of Grand Rapids, Jean Ekholm (Norman Nelson) of Cloquet, Darrel (Virginia) Wickstrom of Barnum, Beverly Niesen of Aitkin, Dale (Diane) Wickstrom of Saginaw and Jane Hugdahl of Minneapolis; a brother, Malvern Ward of Hinckley; and more than 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Sharon and Jerry Neufeld at Twin Lakes Home for Seniors in Cloquet and the doctors and staff at Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake for the wonderful care of Grace.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
