The Moose Lake Police Department has been without its top official for nearly a month.
Chief Bryce Bogenholm placed himself on paid administrative leave Aug. 26, Moose Lake City Administrator Tim Peterson said.
Peterson confirmed the leave is not a disciplinary action and there are no active investigations involving Bogenholm or any MLPD officer.
Peterson said there is currently no timetable for Bogenholm’s return to duty.
A Moose Lake native, Bogenholm has been chief of the department since 2010 and has worked in law enforcement for more than 25 years.
Sgt. Mike McNulty is performing the chief’s duties during Bogenholm’s absence.
