The Carlton County Board of Commissioners has approved funding to support a men's nonviolence videoconference pilot program.
The 28-week pilot of the Pathways to Family Peace program serves people lodged in jail or recently released from jail.
The domestic abuse treatment program, which will serve six to 10 offenders, will accommodate those who may not have reliable transportation to take the classes in Duluth.
To participate in the program, the county needs to purchase tablet computers for a cost of about $6,000. When the program is over, the county can use tablets for other uses.
The commissioners approved the funding during their meeting Monday, March 25.
