Gould strikes gold in Wrens win

The Wrens, ranked in the top 10 in Class A in the state girls basketball poll, led 36-30 at halftime. Under the strong play of Gould and her teammates, the Wrens outscored MIB by 12 points in the second half as they pulled away for the 18-point win.

Samantha Anderson scored 15 points for Wrenshall, Danielle Anderson added nine, Wendy Bowman scored five while Erin Laveau and Emma Grover each finished with four. Justine Dickenson added three points.

MIB was led by the 21 points of Charlotte Overbye and Vanessa Autumn's 15-point night.

The win improves the Wrens to 2-0 on the season.
