The Floy Gilman Scheidler Scholarship Foundation has awarded $2,000 renewable scholarships to the following students: Alexandria Adamczak of Moose Lake High School, Lydia Fasteland of Carlton High School, Emma Grover of Wrenshall High School, and Christopher Hammitt of Cloquet High School.

Foundation board members presented the awards to the graduating seniors at their high school spring awards programs.

The late sisters, Floy Dickison, former Esko High School English teacher, and Ona Scheidler, former Cloquet High School business instructor, established the Scheidler Scholarship Foundation in memory of their mother, Floy Gilman Scheidler.

Notices of application procedures are sent out in February each year and recipients are chosen in May from among Carlton County graduating seniors who apply and plan to major in communications and/or business.
